Bath IFG welcomes guests to summer social

Bath IFG was delighted to welcome guests to its summer social for conversation, companionship and shared food at Kelston Roundhill Barn this week. This was the event delayed from June owing to exceptional heatwave.

Guests included Druid, Muslim, Methodist, Bahai, Jewish, Sufi, Quaker, CofE and local neighbours of various faith traditions and none. These small, quiet events can be bonding and exciting. There are conversations about faith we need to have, in the right way, with listening based in respect.

As one new friend wrote to thank: “I was buzzing when I came home, having met several inspiring people (only because I didn’t manage to speak to more)…”

We shared soft drink cocktails with delicious locally produced apple juice, vegetarian halloumi and spiced hummus rolls and salad and a selection of appetisers and cakes brought by group members.
